Kilmarnock Barassie Links

A mix of new and old.

Barassie Links is the Championship layout at Barassie presenting a challenge for even the best golfer.

The course offers a mix of the old and the new. Nine holes from the original course and a new nine built in 1997. Four sets of tees – Red, Yellow, White and Blue – offer a graduated challenge taking the course length off the back tees to more than 7000 yards.

Visitor enjoyment will be maximised with some knowledge of the course and we would strongly recommend that you purchase a copy of the Pro Guide from the pro shop before your round.

Follow in the footsteps of many Major Winnners who have tested their game on the Barassie Links over the years.

Proud to be home to four Walker Cup Players

Barassie links course is located on the outskirts of Troon on Scotland’s West Coast. We have an extensive history and have been offering golfers a magnificent links golf challenge in Ayrshire since 1887

“.A golf club that has produced four Walker Cup players! I would describe the Barassie as a pleasant golf course, the colours of the heather lined fairways are visually stunning whilst being a challenge to avoid. Holes 3 to 8 are the real stand out, many of which run parallel with the railway line and offer a more traditional links feel ”
